Mary works as a professional educator at a local independent school district. Jerry was trained in Agricultural Business and Economics and has worked with farmers of the high plains of Texas, New Mexico and Oklahoma in helping them obtain farm operating loans. It is from this work in Agriculture that Jerry became interested in Amsoil synthetic lubricants back in the early 90's. He decided that having to drive as many as 3,000 miles a month and needing oil changes every 3,000 miles (as recommended by vehicle manufacturers) was a little too often, expensive and very inconvenient.
At an area Farm and Ranch show in 1993, Jerry found out about Amsoil products, installed them for extended drain use and never looked back at conventional petroleum lubricants again. After the great results of using Amsoil 100% synthetic motor oil, full flow oil filters, transmission fluid, gear lubes and other specialty use products in his cars, pickups, motorcycle, boat and lawn equipment, he can't justify using old petroleum technology again. Our Criswell automobiles currently operate with Amsoil 5W-30 ASL motor oil and the EAO oil filter for 20,000 miles or 1 year. We also use Universal ATF, the EAA air filters and Severe Gear gear lubes. The total motor oil cost is about 50% less than a 3,000 mile petroleum oil change interval program and Amsoil is proven to be superior in reducing heat and wear as well as maximizing fuel efficiency, performance and power.
In Jerry's opinion petroleum should be refined to use as fuels and leave the lubricant industry to be supplied by Amsoil 100% synthetic lubricants. Attending Amsoil training courses over the years since 1993 and experience in using the products has proven to be a great asset for understanding and explaining the features and benefits of Amsoil automotive and industrial lubricants to commercial, retail, preferred customers and independent dealer customers alike. Amsoil University and various training courses for commercial, industrial and retail applications are an ongoing process for our dealership in order to stay current with the industry.
